Triển lãm cá nhân "Chloris" là triển lãm thứ hai của nghệ sĩ Phạm Tuấn Ngọc diễn ra từ ngày 16/09 đến 30/09/2022 tại Vy Gallery (20 Nguyễn Văn Thủ, Quận 1, TP. HCM). Triển lãm do Noirfoto tổ chức, với giám tuyển là nghệ sĩ Nguyễn Thế Sơn.

Đây là một triển lãm nghệ thuật thị giác sử dụng kỹ thuật nhiếp ảnh thủ công tiên phong tại Việt Nam: "in nắng trên giấy ảnh đen trắng" (lumen print), không sử dụng máy ảnh mà để hoa thật tương tác trực tiếp với giấy ảnh phủ Bạc Chloride dưới ánh nắng, tạo ra các tác phẩm độc bản, kỳ ảo với hiệu ứng thị giác ấn tượng.

Tên "Chloris" lấy từ nữ thần hoa trong thần thoại Hy Lạp, bộ tác phẩm khai thác chủ đề các loài hoa, đặc biệt là hoa úa tàn để truyền tải triết lý luân hồi, bất tử và tái sinh, kết hợp giữa truyền thống vanitas phương Tây (biểu tượng cho tính phù du qua hoa héo) và triết học phương Đông về sinh tử luân phiên.

Solo Exhibition "Chloris"

"Chloris" is the second solo exhibition by artist Phạm Tuấn Ngọc, held from September 16 to September 30, 2022, at Vy Gallery (20 Nguyễn Văn Thủ, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The exhibition was organized by Noirfoto and curated by artist Nguyễn Thế Sơn.

This is a visual art exhibition featuring pioneering analog photographic techniques in Vietnam: lumen printing - a process of “printing sunlight onto black-and-white photographic paper” without the use of a camera. Real flowers interact directly with silver chloride-coated photographic paper under sunlight, creating one-of-a-kind, dreamlike works with striking visual effects.

The exhibition's title, Chloris, is inspired by the Greek goddess of flowers. The series explores the theme of flora - especially wilted and fading flowers as a means to convey a philosophy of reincarnation, immortality, and rebirth. It combines the Western vanitas tradition (using decaying flowers as symbols of life's transience) with Eastern philosophical views on the cyclical nature of life and death.
